Pride in our Neighbourhood

Contributed by Gerald Michaud, Broker. Wanting to belong to something bigger than ourselves is a universal human feeling. When we feel we belong we are happier, healthier, and more likely to want to share the wealth by improving our community.

In Cabbagetown we belong to an amazing neighbourhood which offers many opportunities to bring people together as a community.  We are blessed with many community events such as the Forsythia Festival, Cabbagetown Fall Festival and more.  These opportunities to gather and celebrate one another enrich all of our lives.

Another way to improve our neighbourhood is by contributing to the Food Bank.  When someone lacks life’s necessities, like food, they cannot function in society.  This is detrimental to us all.

At HomeLife/Realty One we have been collecting for the food bank for decades.  Each spring and each fall we have food drives to collect non-perishable food items for those in our neighbourhood who are in great need.

We welcome everyone to participate – your support will make a difference to your neighbours’ life today!  We have a Food Bank Drop Box at our office, and invite you to swing by for a visit to drop off your non-perishable food donations at our office at 501 Parliament St. (just north of Carlton Street).  If you prefer to schedule a pickup, call 416-922-5533 or email info@homeliferealtyone.com.

You can help improve our neighbourhood, because the best neighbourhoods are made by good neighbours.
