Cabbagetowner Ari Korkodilos had another amazing kart racing season in 2022. Ari won the first national Motormaster Mosport race in May, going from last to first, as well as the final national race in September. He won three races in a row at the Coupe de Montréal in Québec, and 5 out of 6 in the autumn racing season.
Ari won the Pfaff High Performer Driver Award twice in 2022, first time ever in one season, for a Briggs kart driver!
In fact, Ari won every race he entered, unless he was bumped off track as he was “the one to beat”, got in an accident, or had a damaged kart.
This young kart racing wizard has a natural seat of the pants feel that cannot be taught, as winning driver Emerson Fittipaldi, twice Formula 1 world champion and twice Indy 500 winner, told Ari personally.
The next step for Ari is Formula 4 in Europe.
There is interest from two US-based Indy car teams, but his goal is Formula 1.
Without sponsorship, the cost is prohibitive — a staggering one million Euros a season.
However, should he win the overall F4 season and move up to F3 the following year, he would surely be grabbed by one of the main F1 racing teams, like Ferrari, Mercedes, or Red Bull, to develop him as their driver. After that, the sky’s the limit.
Race videos are on YouTube under his name, Ari Korkodilos.
