Contributed by Bill Morneau. Toronto Centre is filled with people and organizations that care about our community and those who call it home. That’s why we saw the whole community and all three levels of government come together in support of Dixon Hall and their new Youth Centre in Regent Park.
A feature of the Regent Park Revitalization, this new centre will be home to both Dixon Hall’s Children & Youth department and Dixon Hall Music School and will feature 10,000 square feet of program space. The programs run out of this centre will help build the confidence of young people, helping them realize that anything is possible.
Youth in our Toronto Centre community deserve every opportunity to learn and grow. They deserve to feel inspired and supported. Most importantly, they deserve to feel safe. Our federal government recognizes that it is important that young Canadians have the opportunities they need to succeed. That’s why we were proud to support this new centre with an investment of $250,000.
I look forward to seeing the kinds of projects run out of a fantastic space like this.
