Contributed by Sean O’Donovan — The Cabbagetown Residents Association (CRA) was established in 1967 as a volunteer-led organization.
We are one of several active residents’ associations across Cabbagetown, each representing different sections of the neighbourhood. The CRA covers East Cabbagetown (South of St James Cemetery, East of Parliament, North of Gerrard and West of the Don River).
We help build community by:
- Promoting neighborhood safety and security
- Sharing local news and information with residents
- Hosting events like the Forsythia Festival and the Pumpkin Walk
- Representing community concerns with city, police, and school services
KEEPING YOU INFORMED DURING THE PANDEMIC
Since the start of the COVID19 crisis we’ve replaced our traditional monthly newsletter with a weekly round-up of city and local news. This has been very popular with residents. If you’d like to be added to our email list, you can sign-up at cabbagtowner.com/membership/.
BOARD CHANGES IN 2020
In July 2020 a number of existing board positions come up for renewal, so we’ll be welcoming several new board members to the CRA. Our expanded and refreshed board looks forward to continuing to serve the residents of Cabbagetown as well as developing some exciting new community programs.
We’re here to represent what matters most to our community. Let us know how best we can serve you by sharing your ideas at firstname.lastname@example.org.
