Pay with Cash…make someone’s day

The small independently owned neighbourhood restaurant, or any small business in our community, could use your help.
The lady who serves you coffee each morning at your local Tim Horton franchise? She too needs your help. It wouldn’t take much of an effort to make them smile. When you buy a lunchtime sandwich at the local deli, leave your credit card in your pocket and pay with cash. It’s a small gesture, but if more of us did that, it would help them survive in a business with wafer thin profit margins.

I’m pretty sure the bank and the credit card company won’t feel the pain.

And next time you’re at a Tim Horton’s buying a cup of coffee, give the server a small tip. This coffee chain does nothing to encourage this and shame on them. Some Tim Horton owners don’t even allow tipping. Double shame on them. They’ll pay you back with a big smile when you leave them a few coins.
