Parliament St. News Holiday Edition

parliament-st-newsContributed by Peter Lovering — The holidays are here and they signal the end of a great year. Hopefully for you too. This is the first holiday edition of the Parliament Street News and our fifth of the year. The paper is going stronger than ever and (I say this every year) next year is going to be even better. I am not sure I can name all of the contributors and advertisers from over the year but I would like to thank you all for your contributions, advertising, and support.
I started the paper in 2010 with a simple goal and that was to allow people to share events, missions, and happenings with their neighbours. In an area as diverse as Parliament Street this made sense to me and it still makes sense today. Our golden rule has always been that you can’t say anything bad about anybody else. While this is limiting in some ways it also explains why the paper continues to grow. We can’t publish the paper without contributors, nor can we publish the paper without advertisers. Please do everybody the favour of letting them know you saw the article and/or ads. Lastly don’t forget to support our local businesses because they are the big part of what makes the area as special as it is. See you soon.
