Hello Everyone.
We have delayed the launch of the 2022 PSN for obvious reasons. However, there is hope everywhere, and with that, we are ready to go with our 2022 schedule. Did we mention this is our 12th year?
We have five issues (the same as last year). We have two editions in the spring and three editions in the Fall. As usual, each edition is 3000 copies, 16 to 20 pages, stitched city Magazine style with Canada Post delivery to 2500 houses in the Parliament Street Corridor. The other 500 copies will get delivered by hand at street level to cafes, restaurants, community centres and select Condos.
I have heard back from almost all of our 2021 advertisers, and we have a fantastic return rate. Thanks to all of you. We always have space for advertisers. Please do not hesitate to get in touch to request a rate card. It is also worth noting that a quarter-page ad in the Parliament Street news costs half as much as a Post Card, designed, printed and delivered by “that Guy” to local homes. I would never call those post cards junk mail; however, if targeting the community is important to you, then being a regular part of a local community newspaper is a brilliant place to be.

Publishing deadlines
How it works. We get the content on a Friday; it goes to print on Tuesday. The 2500 Canada post copies get sorted, labelled and sent to local postal walks. Generally, local street delivery starts the Friday following the deadline. The Canada Post home delivery begins ten days following the deadline.
- Friday, March 12th
- Friday, May 7th – Provincial Election
- Friday, Aug 19th – Festival Edition
- Friday, Sept 30th – City Election
- Friday, Nov 11th Holiday Giving Guide
All ads include an online ad on PstreetNews.com. Post Card sized ads or bigger with multiple insertions get at 350-word business Bio. Social Media is also available and included for specific packages.
Content
We need writers of all shapes and sizes. Many of you have opinions, and we would love to publish them. All content is welcome, and the more varied the content, the better. It does not have to be specific to the area. General guidelines are 300 to 400 words and an image. Get in touch to discuss. With two elections this year, there should be plenty of opinions. We want to publish your views, articles, stories and reviews and distribute them to the community.
Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.
