Contributed by Gerald Michaud, Broker – Manager – HomeLife/Realty One Ltd., Brokerage — In the light of the Coronavirus, the health and wellbeing of our clients, our Realtors and our communities is our priority. We’ve reduced all face-to-face business, including public office hours and in-person showings and we’ve stopped open houses. The government has mandated real estate as an essential service to help facilitate closings that were booked weeks ago but this is not “business as usual.” We’re moving into uncharted territory of how we work and live. When your health on the line and you are faced with a choice of selling or buying a home, you can either postpone for a few weeks or use technology?
This is a concern that affects a lot of our clients that need to buy or sell and it can feel overwhelming. At this time, buyers are concerned that sellers are not listing their property. Therefore, limiting the choice of property and potentially driving up prices. This is one of the many concerns. If you have any concern or any questions about real estate, talk to one of our Realtors. They’ll be able to guide you with professional advice and inform you about digital technology. We are all working at minimizing direct physical interaction to keep everyone safe while maintaining social distancing. We’re here to help!
