What is the festival without Blair’s run?

Contributed by Marshall Tully

Blair’s Run has been part of the Cabbagetown Festival for 35 years. It is a 2 km jog or walk around the neighbourhood that raises funds for the Cabbagetown Youth Centre. The Cabbagetown Youth Centre (CYC) provides neighborhood youth with positive alternatives through sport and recreation, while encouraging ongoing education. See the website for more information www.cabbagetownyouth.ca

Everyone from 2 to 70+ can do the run. This year it is on Sunday September 13th, 2015, so be sure to come out and participate or cheer on the runners.  The race starts at 9:00 AM at the corner of Parliament and Carlton, awards follow the race at 10AM. Watch for notices from your team captain or register race day at 8AM.  Registration and donations are also available online at blairsrun.com. The entry fee is $20. To be guaranteed registration for prize contention you must register by Saturday September 12th. Come out to run or cheer. See you there!!!
