Ignite Your Creative Spark, with Your Team

Contributed by Sarah Phelps

Tired of the same old boring team building events that drag on all day, only to leave you feeling drained? At the very least, team building events should be inspiring, creative, interesting, engaging, and just plain fun! A gathering of team members sipping on cocktails and tasting niblies, while creating a colourful abstract painting together to be hung and admired in the office afterwards. Or perhaps each person paints their own individual masterpiece to hang in their workspace, or take home. Sound intriguing?

Sarah’s Phelps, a local Toronto-based Abstract Artist, runs creative team building painting events throughout the city and beyond. Her workshops ignite a creative spark in each and every person and participants are encouraged to think outside the box, let their creative juices flow, and be inspired and motivated to collaborate, without expectations.

Typically a theme is set in place, such as company core values, goals, vision, mission statement, or special project, which is expressed through the painting process and translated onto the canvas. The agenda is simple – a quick artist introduction, event overview, artist tips, tricks & techniques, and the painting begins! A very rewarding team experience for all.
