Learn the do’s and don’ts to improving running performance. Running is a cyclic sport, meaning the same motions are repeated over and over again. This means the same muscle groups are working with each step and the same muscle groups are NOT working with each step. Over time muscle imbalances can develop. Imbalances will eventually lead to weakness, pain and injury. The proper combination of stretching and strengthening exercises periodized throughout the year can decrease chances of imbalance and injury, while also improving running performance.
