Whether you do spooky or cute…Halloween’s always a hoot!

Cover-photo---Halloween-by-Sarah-CookContributed by Sarah Cook – Principal Publisher – Our front-page photo of ‘The Adam’s Family’ at one of Cabbagetowns ‘Zebra Crossings’ at Carlton and Ontario is a homage of the Beatles Abbey Road album 50th anniversary. The Album debuted Sept. 26th, 1969 and was their last recorded album. Although “Let it be” was their last album released it was recorded in January of 1969 and not debuted until 1970. This is a great location for a photo op if I do say so myself. Photo by yours truly Halloween 2018.

Cabbagetown is always such a great place to spend Halloween. The streets are filled with goblins & princesses- transformers and wizards… it feels very Harry Potter! The whole community comes together.

Neighbours’ sitting side by side, handing out treats and friendly greetings, and perhaps enjoying some ‘mummy juice’ on the front porch. Celebrating this wonderful evening with scary music and spooky lighting is such a ‘treat’ for all ages. Passers by in their spooky or cute costumes looking for the next thrilling doorstep to climb, and to recite “trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat” …or maybe some wine!

Have a happy and safe Halloween…and remember, it will be dark by 5pm! A safety tip from one parent to another- try putting reflective strip on your kids costumes!
