Connecting Cabbagetown with its agricultural community -Tuesdays! Riverdale Park West hosts this season, Tuesdays from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (just outside the farm gates), with many of the community’s favourites returning with seasonal produce, fresh baked goods, artisan cheeses, smoked salmon, Niagara wines, fresh cut flowers, frozen treats, and more.
The market is now being organized by the Riverdale Farm Stewardship Group (RFSG) – a volunteer body that believes there are exciting and important opportunities to deepen connections between the market and the farm overtime.
“We believe that Riverdale Farm plays a crucial role in connecting those living in Canada’s largest city with the agricultural community in our region,” said David Doze, chair of the RFSG. “Adding the market to the mix only enrichens this effort.”
The market runs from June 4 – October 15. A list of this year’s vendors can also be found on the market’s website, www.cabbagetownmarket.ca.
Funds raised through the operation of the market will used to support educational programming and capital improvements at the farm.
